Game History:
Contra is a run and gun video game developed and published by Konami in 1987. The player’s default weapon is a rifle with unlimited ammunition that can be upgraded into one of four other guns. These can be obtained by destroying the pill box sensors and flying item capsules containing them, or by defeating the red-clad guards in the enemy bases.

Instructions:
Click on “CLICK TO LOAD GAME”. Click on the game window and hit the ENTER key to start the game. You can click on Zoom to expand the game to a larger size. You can click on Enable Sound to turn on the game’s sound. If you grew up in the 80’s you shouldn’t need additional gameplay instructions.

Requirements:
These games are being emulated natively in Javascript. No plug-in is required in your web browser, but the emulator does require a modern web browser. They only run as good as your computer. If you have a fast, modern computer these games will run very smoothly.
