I was born in 1990, and although I consider the 90s to be my decade, I feel oftentimes like I should have been born in 1968, so that I could have grown up in the 80s... But anyways, I was curious if the people who were there could answer me this question: what was 1989 like? What I mean is, were there still lots of new age people around, or was attire & style more toned down in '89? Were people still holding tightly to the culture of the 80s, or was it like "this is all so old"? Was the summer of '89 (excuse the Bryan Adams reference) a more sad one that previous summers, because you knew this would be the last summer of the 80s you would have? Did people still like to listen loud to all the 80s tunes, or were people just sort of turning things off and biting their nails, sadly awaiting the end of the decade? I imagine I will get many different answers, but I still want to hear them. Thank-you much!
