Tiffany
A little something about Tiffany
California-born pop-diva Tiffany Darwisch hit the music scene in the late '80s, crooning teenage dance-pop covers under her first name, to great, albeit short, success.
She grew up listening to country music, and began her music career as a young country singer, crooning West Coast honky tonk at the Palomino, and appearing on the "Ralph Emery Show." But by age 13, Tiffany had turned to pop music. At 14, she signed a deal with MCA records, and in 1987 she released a self-titled debut. It quickly went quadruple-platinum on the strength of two consecutive number one hits, "I Think We're Alone Now," and "Could've Been."
Lyrics featured below : "I think we're alone now" , "Could've been"
I think we're alone now
Children behave,
That's what they say when we're together,
And watch how you play,
They don't understand,
And so we're,
Running just as fast as we can,
Holdin' onto one another's hand,
Tryin' to get away into the night,
And then you put your arms around me,
And we tumble to the ground,
And then you say,
(0.48)
I think we're alone now,
There does't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
(1.11)
Look at the way,
We gotta hide what we're doin'.
'Cause what would they say,
If they ever knew and so we're,
Running just as fast as we can,
Holdin' onto one another's hand,
Tryin' to get away into the night,
And then you put your arms around me,
And we tumble to the ground,
And then you say,
(1.40)
I think we're alone now,
There does't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
I think we're alone now,
There does't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
Could've Been
The flowers you gave me
Are just about to die
When I think about
What could've been
It makes me want to cry
The sweet words you whispered
Didn't mean a thing
I guess our song is over
As we began to sing
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
Could've been my lover
Every day of my life
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
I'll never hold what could've been
On a cold and lonely night
The memories of our lovin'
Still linger in the air
Like the fainted scent of your roses
They stay with me everywhere
Every time I get my hopes up
They always seem to fall
Still what could've been
Is better than
What could never be at all
At all
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
Could've been my lover
Every day of my life
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
You can't hold what could've been
On a cold and lonely night
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
You can't hold what could've been
On a cold and lonely night.
No, not at all
How could I hold what could've been
On a cold and lonely night?
