I am trying to remember a commercial that had the following lyrics: "I need a vacation, like nobody's business, I need a vacation.... ?????????" This was sung by a woman offscreen as video of various stressful situations was shown....maybe a baby crying, maybe a pot of food boiling over, etc. We keep thinking it was for a hotel chain, an airline, a cruise line, something..... Help! Thanks!

...sounds familiar, but nothing's coming to me. Good topic - 80's commercials! Here's one: I Remember a snickers commercial where they advertised it as being the perfect lunch. Something like "when you're on the go, grab a snickers." Like that would fly today. It would be all over the Today Show and Oprah about how we are promoting poor eating habits to the children! Who else has a memorable 80's commercial?

In regards to "I need a vacation...", isn't that an old Calgon commercial? As in "Calgon...take me away!" I say it once awhile as a joke and folks are looking at me like I got three heads on. The guys my age just smile and smirk...I think they get it. One of my favorite commercials was...remember this? "You got your chocolate in my peanut butter...you got your peanut butter in my chocolate!" Guess the product?
----- None of my written material is meant to offend. It's just my opinion, that's all. If it offends you...it's like Porn...don't look/read it. The first casualty of war is innocence.
