Hey Tono, I was 14 in 1989 and remember New Years Eve. It was more of an amazement going into 1990, it just sounded different. I was too young to feel sad that the 80's were over. In 1989 the styles were still very much typical of the 80's. It was very much an "anything goes" type of attitude. The first couple years of the 90's were very similar to the 80's. In my opinion, the general landscape of music, style, and everything else changed between 1992 - 1994. Music changed and computers were introduced. Our society also started becoming more politically correct and sensitive. I would say the 80's were pretty carefree (with a seatbelt).
