A little something about Warrant
Hits like "Heaven," "Cherry Pie" and "I Saw Red" made them favorites with the MTV crowd. Their hit "Cherry Pie" is described by VH1 as being as "brilliant as sleaze ever was". After years as L.A.'s best-kept secret, the band signed with Columbia Records in the late 80s and debuted in 1989 with Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. Although the album was a success, initially reaching No. 27 on the U.S. charts, it wasn't until the release of its second single, a ballad called "Heaven," that sales went into overdrive. But that's when things started to fray. "Heaven" was followed by another ballad, "Sometimes She Cries," which, coupled with the band's ratted hair and glam costumes, caused some members of the press to doubt their credibility.
