You have to remember the video - Toni Basil as an over-the-hill cheerleader with way too much make-up lip-syncing and pom-pomming to "Hey Mickey yer so fine, yer so fine you blow my mind HEY MICKEY!" If you don't remember the video, I envy you. Toni Basil is one of those artists that probably had too much success on her first outing to be able to stick around in the business for long... that and the fact that she didn't write most of her own music and didn't play anything. Basil's first and only big hit, "Mickey" flew to the top spot in the U.S., helped in no small part by that pesky video.
